Guillaume Renaud, freelance Technical Product Owner

Guillaume Renaud

Technical Product

I think, I ship, I build.

And I can do the same for you.

Let's talk about your project
↓

Today

Former developer turned Product Owner, now freelance.

I break down complex projects into steps that actually move forward.

I speak product with decision-makers, business with business teams, tech with developers, design with designers. I bridge them all so everyone understands each other and moves faster.

Scoping and delivery, API-first, in sectors where mistakes are costly: mostly banking, but also hospitality and retail.

Most POs stop at the backlog. Not me.

01Frame

TechnicalProduct Manager

Discovery, working with business stakeholders, defining vision and roadmap, scoping complex, cross-functional needs.

I already play this role in my PO missions: the BaaS platform and wealth advisor journey at Delubac, cross-department onboarding. In many teams, there's no real boundary with the Product Owner.

02Deliver

TechnicalProduct Owner

Running the backlog and Agile delivery, working directly with development teams.

Seven years as a Technical PO, from BPCE to Delubac via Carrefour and Louvre Hotels, with a developer background: devs don't need to translate their constraints for me.

03Build

TechnicalProduct Builder

I code and ship it myself, from prototype to production.

Atriate, in beta, designed and built solo for web and mobile.A product designed and built solo, from web to mobile.

Four years side by side, focused on solutions and results

I was lucky enough to work with Guillaume for 4 years, in a perfectly balanced and effective partnership. Guillaume is firmly focused on solutions and results. Constructive on every project we handled, he brings real energy and persistence to fighting the inertia and friction between teams that can slow down design and delivery.

Pauline Ayrault · Senior Product Manager · Discovery & Delivery

A structured agile cycle for every squad

I had the pleasure of working with Guillaume at Delubac and discovering a particularly well-rounded profile. Beyond his role as Product Owner, we worked together on structuring and rolling out agile cycle management across every squad in ClickUp.

Sandra Rei · Application Support & Business Analysis Manager

The right balance between business, users and tech

Guillaume has always known how to strike the right balance between business goals, user needs and technical constraints. That's especially valuable from a development standpoint: exchanges are simple, constructive and pragmatic, with a real ability to listen to teams and challenge solutions when needed.

Charlie Bertrand · Software Engineer · Banking product

Leadership that motivates teams

Guillaume is an excellent project lead, with a natural people sense and a real talent for motivating teams. His rigour, commitment and inspiring leadership make him a reliable, dynamic and invaluable teammate. I recommend him without reservation to any team looking for someone both skilled and genuinely human!

Thomas Lanquetin · Tech Lead

A true unicorn

Guillaume has a real knack for project leadership: he knows how to structure, bring people together and build consensus while still pushing ideas forward and staying firmly results-driven. His test-and-learn approach, combined with his tech background, lets him grasp both business and technical stakes. A true “unicorn” I'd gladly work with again if the chance came up.

Sandra Rei · Application Support & Business Analysis Manager

Technical analysis and people skills

I worked with Guillaume for more than 2 years. I recommend him wholeheartedly. His technical analysis and project-tracking skills are excellent. His people skills are just as strong.

Jérémy Rey · Tech Lead · Malt review

Communication that gets everyone aligned

His communication is effective, relevant and transparent, on top of being pleasant. It helps even out the level of knowledge across the teams working on a topic, which is a real asset.

LinkedIn recommendation

Speed without losing sight of the big picture

He never sacrifices the big picture or the strategy just to push his roadmap projects forward faster.

LinkedIn recommendation

Day-to-day work that's easy and energising

Beyond his project management skills, Guillaume is genuinely pleasant to work with day to day, making the work easy and energising.

Case studies

Three platforms to build, at the same time, from scratch.

Banque Delubac & Cie · BaaS, wealth advisors & onboarding

01 · Context

Banque Delubac & Cie launches a digitalisation programme: open up a Banking-as-a-Service offer to partners, and finally give wealth advisors some visibility. Nothing existed yet. Onboarding happened by email, impossible to track or standardise. On the wealth-advisor side, no tooling at all.

02 · What I did

I scoped all three workstreams, then ran them in parallel: roadmap, backlog, trade-offs with the business teams, working with the design team and steering the technical team. Day to day, from Scrum rituals to API specs, with banking compliance looking over my shoulder.

03 · Result

The BaaS platform is live, in service and used by partners. The wealth-advisor platform shipped in three months, with real-time tracking where there had been nothing. Unified onboarding was being rolled out when I left.
